Photography
For several years, Ethan walked from Bowling Green to Showtime’s offices at 1633 Broadway, iPhone in hand, photographing anything that caught his eye. Shapes. Architecture. Unusual juxtapositions. A spontaneous process of discovery. An opportunity to transform mundane subjects, to make the familiar unfamiliar in real-time. Everything was captured in-camera using special effects apps, with no editing after the fact. He had to keep moving.
The work sits apart from the campaigns. A way to stay close to what the Brooklyn Museum and Cooper Union taught him to look for.
